This 2.5-day interactive course emphasizes practical application of ITIL (Information Technology
Infrastructure Library) best practice and leads to the EXIN or APMG Foundation Certificate in IT Service
Management. The training emphasizes the advantages of Service Management utilizing the ITIL
framework and is presented with focus on the goals, objectives, key activities, business benefits and
critical success factors necessary for each ITIL® process and function, all directed toward creating a best
practice IT operations environment.

The course is broken into modules that largely reflect the five elements of the Service Management
lifecycle – Service Strategy, Service Design, Service Transition, Service Operation and Continual Service
Improvement. It is lecture based, and uses individual and group assignments and mock examinations to
prepare the student for the EXIN or APMG examination leading to ITIL Foundation Certification. The
multiple-choice EXIN examination is provided at the end of the course.
All course presentation materials are presented in a reference-ready bound notebook. Key concepts are reviewed,
a terms glossary and a practice exam are provided.
